Vaginal Rejuvenation

What is Vaginal Rejuvenation?

Non-invasive, non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment involves the use of HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) thermal therapy inside the vagina to promote the body’s natural collagen production. You may have heard the term “designer vagina”, which is purely about aesthetics. That’s not what this is. The service that Cryotherapy Barnsley provides is not a form of Cosmetic Gynaecology (procedures such as Labiaplasty and Vaginoplasty). We provide HIFU vaginal rejuvenation treatment, which aims to increase vaginal tightness and elasticity – to improve incontinence, reduce vaginal dryness and increase sensation during intercourse. The ultimate aim is to improve tightness of the vagina, which can remedy a number of conditions, not to change its look or appearance.

What Can Vaginal Rejuvenation Help With?

Many women seek this treatment because they’ve become incontinent following childbirth. Also, vaginal elasticity and tightness is generally reduced following menopause, which can also be a contributing factor towards incontinence.

Vaginal rejuvenation can also help to increase sexual pleasure due to improving vaginal tightness. Here’s the main reasons people enquire about this treatment:

  • To improve control over urinary incontinence (reduce the chance of wetting yourself)
  • To increase vaginal moisture and reduce dryness, which causes pain and discomfort during intercourse
  • To increase the tone and elasticity of the vagina and improve vaginal muscle strength and reduce vaginal looseness
  • To increase sensation and vaginal sensitivity during sexual intercourse
  • To improve the health and vitality of the vagina

What’s The Vaginal Rejuvenation Process?

We use the latest HIFU thermal technology (which uses ultrasonic waves) inside the vagina which warms the vaginal tissue without burning the skin. The vaginal wall is heated at the correct depth and temperate, and is a completely painless and non-invasive process with no bleeding. This treatment is focused in the lamina propria (thin layer of connective tissue that forms part of the moist linings known as mucous membranes or mucosa) and muscle fibre layer. A focus region is formed which can reach a temperate above 65 degrees celcius, but this is completely painless. No damage is done outside of the focal region. As a result of the process, collagen production is stimulated, regenerated and formed, resulting in tightening of the vaginal tissue.

How Much Does Vaginal Rejuvenation Cost?

Vaginal Rejuvenation costs £350.

What’s The Difference Between Laser And HIFU?

HIFU energy is non-invasive, penetrating deeper into the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layer than laser treatment does and targets the dermal layer which is the layer just beneath the surface. It is used by both medical and non-medical practitioners. Laser cannot reach these deep skin layers at an optimal temperate, so laser can generally only be used to treat superficial skin issues.

Can Vaginal Rejuvenation Affect Fertility and Natural ChildBirth Following This Treatment?

No. There are no adverse affects on fertility or natural childbirth after this treatment.

How Soon Can I see the Benefits of Vaginal Rejuvenation?

The whole process takes about 20 to 40 minutes. Many women report immediate bladder control results and reduction or elimination of incontinence and improved sexual intercourse stimulation. Many of our clients who have previously suffered from bladder control issues whilst coughing, sneezing, at the gym, jogging, jumping and other physical activities, have reported positive results from this treatment.
